Wix for Artists & Makers Workshop – Fall 2026

Class size: 10 people

Whether you’re a hobbyist, crafter, fine artist, or maker, your website should work as hard as you do. In this hands-on 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of creating a professional Wix website that showcases your work, builds your brand, and gives you the option to sell online.

• We’ll cover the essential building blocks of a successful artist website, including:
• Creating a simple, cohesive brand guide with colors and fonts
• Organizing your portfolio and showcasing your artwork
• Uploading and optimizing images for the web
• Setting up an online shop and payment processors
• Understanding the basics of writing descriptions for your art, as well as search engine optimization (SEO) fundamentals
• Best practices for creating a website that is easy to navigate and simple to maintain

Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop and follow along as we build together, but you’re equally welcome to attend as an observer, taking notes and applying the lessons later at your own pace. If you already have a Wix website, this is a great opportunity to refine your work. If you don’t already have a Wix website, this workshop will help you take the first steps.

Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure everyone receives individual attention and to accommodate those working on laptops during class. Early registration is highly recommended.

Lynn Ciecierski is the owner of The Wix Doctor (thewixdoctor.com), a Connecticut-based website design and marketing agency specializing in helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, and nonprofits build beautiful, effective online presences. As the former owner of a fine art gallery in Guilford, CT, Lynn understands the unique challenges artists face when presenting and selling their work. With decades of experience in professional website development, branding, marketing, and graphic design, she brings practical, real-world knowledge that helps creatives confidently take their work online.
